On transport in the EU at the conference in Tęgoborz

"Polish road transport in the changing European Union" was the topic of the September conference in Tęgoborz organized by OZPTD and the National Association of Road Transporters "Galicja". The meeting was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin, parliamentarians, representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Road Transport Inspection.

The conference was addressed to road transport entrepreneurs, experts and experts on the EU transport market. In addition to the numerous guests from Poland, representatives of control services from the Italian and Portuguese Republic also participated in it.


Presentations on the activities and controls in traffic and road transport of the Police in the abovementioned countries were presented by Mr. Biagio Paolo D’Amore and Mr. Paulo Gomes, while Paweł Kucharczyk, Provincial Road Transport Inspector, spoke about ITD control activities in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. The director of the International Transport Bureau Małgorzata Wojtal-Białaszewska referred to BTM's activities in the context of international transport carried out by carriers.


Chief Inspector of Road Transport Alvin Gajadhur and President of Euro Contrôle Route (ECR) Urszula Nowinowska presented the activities of the Road Transport Inspection of national and international nature.


“ITD protects the Polish transport market, ensures compliance with the principles of fair competition in road transport. I thank the carriers for good, substantive cooperation within the framework of the Consultative Council established by the Chief Social Inspector”, said Alvin Gajadhur.


OZPTD President Piotr Litwiński congratulated Urszula Nowinowska on behalf of the industry of becoming the President of Euro Contrôle Route and thanked for being involved in helping Polish carriers in Europe.


“As for the main objectives of the Polish presidency of the ECR, Poland included environmental protection and the elimination of illegal interference in tachographs. We will also strive to increase the number of countries in this organization to improve safety in transport on European roads”, said Urszula Nowinowska.


The conference was summed up by Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin, who awarded state and departmental decorations to carriers distinguished for transport.
