Pulling the inspection’s car as fast as possible, competitions for children and adults, dozens of advice given – these were just some of the activities at the Road Transport Inspection’s informational and educational stand which was visited by hundreds of people during the three-day automotive show. Road Transport Inspection was also awarded a special statuette for the involvement and support of the event promoting Polish transport by the organizers.

The Road Transport Inspection awarded

The 15th edition of the International Rally of Truck Tuners and Master Truck was officially opened by the ITD Chief Alvin Gajadhur. On the occasion of the jubilee, the Chief Inspector of Road Transport congratulated, on behalf of the Minister of Infrastructure and Inspection, the initiative and its permanent development, and handed a glass statuette of the Inspection’s police car to the organizers of the event.

“Master Truck Show is a perfect place not only to learn about the latest trends, but also to establish a partnership dialogue between drivers, carriers and institutions operating in the area of safety and protection of the road transport market. Inspection is pleased to support all activities uniting the automotive industry - therefore I am happy that for many years we have been the patron of this extraordinary undertaking,” said the Chief Inspector of Road Transport, Alvin Gajadhur, during the opening ceremony.

Thus, the Road Transport Inspection has been awarded with a special statuette for the many years of support of the Master Truck Show and active participation in the event by the organizers of the rally.

During this year's show there were many attractions for children and adults at the information and educational stand of the Inspection. There were educational games, contests and a traffic town for the youngest ones. Adults could see how the body reacts after taking intoxicants and in a state of severe fatigue, by using special alcohol, drug and snooze impairment googles. It was also possible to get acquainted with the inspection’s equipment - police cars and service motorcycles. The inspectors gave advice about road transport law regulations, the drivers and carriers rights and obligations, working time, road transport terms, licenses, permits. Employees of the KSPO Office answered questions about the toll collection system.

The competition of pulling the ITD police car was a real attraction. Six daredevils enrolled for the competition. The strength was important here, but also the tactics. It took the winner 8.50 seconds to pull the police car.

Master Truck is not just an automotive show

The motor show was also accompanied by a trade conference organized by the Polish Road Transport Union. During the opening of the conference, the ITD head drew attention to the necessity of constant cooperation and exchange of experience between carriers and institutions that will allow to develop optimal solutions important in the functioning of heavy transport. The ITD chief assured that the Ministry of Infrastructure and Inspection is undertaking a number of activities to protect the Polish transport market.

“We do not limit ourselves only to activities undertaken in the country. We strive to support Polish carriers also outside Poland. Most international cases are legal uncertainties, such as control procedures in other countries, but we also take actions of a strictly interventive nature,” said Alvin Gajadhur. “International cooperation and exchange of experience between European audit institutions will be of particular interest to the General Road Transport Inspectorate. Since July 1 General Inspectorate holds the presidency as part of the ECR organization, an international organization associating the control services of European road transport. We have now taken over ‘commanding’, and therefore we have an even greater chance of taking action that would standardize, for example, control procedures,” he emphasized.

During the conference, the principles of operation and plans related to the construction of the New National Toll Collection System were also presented. Marcin Łasiński, deputy director of the BKSPO, gave a lecture on the collection system.
